First off, I was handling on creating on wireframes for our website and also follow through the navigation process.
I was definitely doubting myself which I believed doing something cool as creating automated generative ai guides would be seemingly dubious and difficult for us to implement within a short timeframe.
Since we have a month to put it into effect, I was certain that it would be feasible. However, in examining how my other teams performed in putting Chat-GPT and Dall-E into practice, we also recall how those teams dealt with criticism like "will this model ever be made to localize for the current context" I vaguely recall hearing about it and being skeptical as well, but I was shocked to learn that developing a machine learning model is not as important as I had thought.
These photos below show some design mock-ups I made for our upcoming revamp :>
Figure 1 of our Home Wireframe
This was definitely easier for the elderly to look through and browse the categories. The consistent font choices make it simple and easy for the elderly to navigate.
Figure 1.2 of Applications Page
This was undoubtedly the first concept that came to mind when the user clicked the app button in Figure 1 above. Vishwa had suggested that it might be dynamic instead. A search bar at the top would make it easier for them to type, as I also suggested!
Figure 1.3 of Tutorials
This is the turning point at which I would start to doubt myself, ouch. Our team received criticism for our tutorials because they were not dynamic and sustainable, and they seem to be more unsustainable overall and would need to be changed every time. Therefore, we would absolutely remove this section and replace it with a better concept!
Figure 1.4 Of Overall Design Mock-up
I was considering designing the guide page so that I could see how I would appear when perusing one in the upper right corner. It seems a little straightforward but not at all, which intrigued me and made me wonder. What if I had simply used my old components from the Hackathon back then?
This week, our group's new objective is to:
Staff-customizable guides, which Vishwa is currently working on deleting, editing, and adding. A feature pertaining to sustainability
Update the website's overall design
Useful exercises for more inventive gamification (a feature Vishwa still considering how to enhance and put into practice)
Enhance the community forum feature
Reflection
I do feel that my progress this week is substantial, but clearly doubting myself because the designs I make would be the face of our team's value and also application. During this week, I plan to work on improving certain aspects, create better designs for our team, and begin implementing them on the website once everything has been transferred. I do have doubts about myself at times, but I hope that the work will be worthwhile in the end.
